SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot several times while inside his Shreveport apartment Sunday morning.

It happened around 9:05 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Hearne Ave.

A neighbor believes that the gunman entered the victim's apartment through the back window.

When the victim went to see what the noise was, the gunman started shooting, according to police. The bullets grazed the victim in the arm and leg.

He was taken to University Health. He is expected to recover.

The shooting remains under investigation.
