15-year-old shot in the foot

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating after a teen was wounded in a shooting Tuesday.

It happened just after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Gilbert Drive and Washington Street.

Shreveport police Cpl. Marcus Hines told KSLA News 12 that a 15-year-old was shot in his right foot.

Police say the teen was in that area when a man tried to rob him with a gun saying quote 'give it to me'. When the teen refused, the man shot him in the foot.

The teenager is not cooperating with investigators, the police spokesman added.

The gunman is described as 6'1" with a black hoodie and blue jeans.
