SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport woman and girl are accused of stealing a package from the front porch of a residence in the city's South Highlands neighborhood.

It happened just after 8:30 a.m. Dec. 2 in the 700 block of Monrovia Street. That's 4 to 5 blocks south of Betty Virginia Park and just off Line Avenue.

And it was all captured by surveillance cameras.

That's what helped police arrest 33-year-old Cassie Jordan, of the 1800 block Tulane Avenue, and the 13-year-old girl.

The homeowner told police that a woman driving a black SUV pulled in front of the residence and a girl got out of the vehicle, walked up to the home's front door and took a package there.

Police later recovered the package and returned it to the homeowner.

Jordan was booked into Shreveport City Jail at 11:34 a.m. Dec. 2 on 1 count each of theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. No bonds have been set.

The teen faces a charge of theft.
