Marshall police ID man killed in shooting

MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) - Marshall police have identified the man who was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound early Monday morning.

Police were called to the 1500 block of Grafton Street around 4:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting.

When police arrived, they found 64-year-old Paul Sparks' body suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

No arrests have been made at this time.

"Our condolences to Mr. Sparks' family during this time of grief," stated Chief Jesus "Eddie Campa. "Our detectives are working vigorously to identify and apprehend the suspect(s) responsible for this crime."
