SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are reviewing surveillance video to help identify the man who robbed a Cedar Grove convenience store Thursday morning.

It happened just before 6 a.m. at the Raceway in the 200 block of E. 70 Street.

Witnesses told police a tall slender man went into the store, produced a handgun and took an unknown amount of money from the clerk. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

Police say the man went behind the building after he left the store and may have taken off in a vehicle.

K9 officers searched south of the building but did not pick up anything.

Police do not believe the incident was connected to the armed robbery and attempted armed robbery of 2 Circle K stores that happened earlier Thursday morning.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Shreveport police or Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
