Buckle up for a roller coaster temperature ride through the weekend. Temperatures have been on the climb since the weekend and we'll be flirting with record highs the next couple days. 80 degree weather returned Tuesday and will hang around through Thursday. We will be close to record highs in the mid to upper 80s the next couple of days, well above our average mid-November highs in the upper 60s.

By the weekend though it's back to fall with what very likely will be the first widespread frost of the fall for most of the ArkLaTex. Temperatures Saturday night will plummet into the 30s with the far northern ArkLaTex picking up a hard freeze as temperatures there fall into the upper 20s.

The change in our weather will be brought on as a strong cold front pushes across the ArkLaTex on Friday. A quick round of showers and storms is expected as the front moves through, bringing little relief from the current drought. Despite the big temperature change severe weather is not expected at this time.
