HAUGHTON, LA (KSLA) - The Bossier Sheriff's Office has released surveillance video of a break-in at a fast-food restaurant in Haughton in hopes of identifying the man caught on camera stealing money from the manager's office.

It happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday at the Church's Chicken at 1310 Highway 80.

Police say the man broke in through the east-side glass door and crawled through the lobby in an apparent attempt to conceal himself from the surveillance cameras.

The surveillance video released Thursday morning shows the shirtless black man wearing a black apron and gloves punching out a pane of glass in the door to the manager's office to unlock it.

Once inside the office, he is seen stealing money from several areas of the office and stuffing it into his pants before heading out the west-side door and fleeing south.

In addition to the surveillance video, the sheriff's office says the "chicken caper culprit" left detectives with other identifying evidence: blood left in several areas from a cut he apparently received during the commission of his crime.

In addition to the apron and gloves, he was wearing a black wave cap and black pants.

Anyone with information about the identity of this suspect is asked to contact Bossier Crime Stoppers with an anonymous tip at (318) 424-4100.
