BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - A power outage is impacting parts of Bossier Parish.

AEP-SWEPCO's website shows 2,248 of its customers are without electricity.

Among areas impacted is Benton Road north of Shed Road. Businesses in that area are in the dark. Also, the traffic light near Plantation Drive is not working.

The good news?

The majority of customers affected by the outage should have their lights back on in about a half-hour, said Karen Wissing, a spokeswoman for the utility.

That means service should resume by about 7:45 p.m.

Service was disrupted when a pole fell at 6:45 p.m. "The cause of the pole falling is unknown at this time," Wissing said.
