SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating a fatal shooting after a body was found Monday afternoon while they were working another shooting.

The victim was found just after 2 p.m. in the 1200 block of Travis Street and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they were called to the intersection of Pete Harris Drive and Ford Street around 1:45 p.m. for a shooting. While they were investigating an incident where a man was shot in the hand, a resident walked up and told police there was a body on Travis Street.

Officials confirmed the information and spotted the victim with apparent gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

His identity has not yet been released, but police say he is an adult male in his late teens or early twenties.

According to police, a third victim also suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital.

No suspects are in custody.
