CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport man was arrested for his alleged role in a armed robbery of a restaurant.
The crime happened on Sept. 9 at the Dairy Queen in the 5900 block of North Market.
Caddo Parish deputies say employees were closing the restaurant when an armed man confronted a worker outside, ordered her back into the eatery, then robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 45-year-old Rodney Jefferson Jr., charging him with the crime.
Jefferson was already incarcerated in the Caddo Correctional Center at the time of his arrest for several unrelated robberies, according to deputies.
Jefferson is now charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
