BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - A car and part of a patio caught fire Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex in Bossier City.

It happened about 1 p.m. at Cordova Court Apartments in the 900 block of Westgate Drive. That's immediately west of Barksdale Boulevard and Barksdale Air Force Base's west gate.

Firefighters say the fire was out in about 8 minutes.

Heat from the fire caused a window at a nearby apartment to break, Bossier City spokesman Mark Natale said. There also was smoke damage to the exterior of the apartment.

No injuries were reported. Natale said he does not believe anyone was in the apartment at the time.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
