MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) - Marshall, Texas, residents soon can learn what "it" is.
"It" is something Police Chief Jesus "Eddie" Campa has been promoting all month on his department's Facebook page.
Five videos have been posted, all of which tease to what "It" is.
Campa says "It" will be made known Aug. 17. The big reveal will come during the City Hall in the Park and back-to-school cookout set for 6 to 8 p.m. that date in City Park, 615 Valleloma St.
"This event is a chance for the citizens to come out and meet the officers and city workers (who) make this city great," Police Chief Jesus "Eddie" Campa said. "This will also be everyone's chance to see the big reveal to 'It' that I have been posting videos about."
There will be free food, beverages and prizes at the gathering sponsored by the city and Police Department.
"We ask that you come out and meet with the city employees and police officers and get to know them," Campa said.
The police and fire departments also will be giving away fans and smoke detectors to eligible citizens.
The activities are planned weather permitting. In the event of rain, the gathering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 24 in City Park.
