Man struck in his head during attempted robbery

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A man has told Shreveport police that 9 to 10 people attempted to rob him.

It happened at 11:20 p.m. July 4 at Marshall at Fourth streets.

The man said he and 3 others were walking when they were approached by the group of males.

They demanded his cellphone and clothing, he told police.

That's when he took off running and was hit in the back of his head. The police report does not say how or with what he was struck.

Shreveport Fire Department medical personnel treated him at the scene for minor injuries.
