MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) - About 40 people gathered in Marshall Friday evening to pray for the victims of the mass shooting in Florida.

Members of "Marshall Against Violence" organized the vigil in the east parking lot of the historical courthouse in downtown Marshall, where residents signed cards to send to the victims still recovering in the hospital.

In addition to sending cards, those in attendance are also sending prayers to those affected by the shooting.

They also released balloons in the victim's memories.
