TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - A Texarkana woman was arrested for allegedly driving with a man on the hood of her car.
Just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning Lt. Mike Harris with the Texarkana Texas Police Department reportedly saw a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze traveling about 50 mph in the 4100 block of North Kings Highway. As the vehicle passed, Lt. Harris said he saw a man lying across the hood of the vehicle. The driver, 32-year-old Gretta Dennis, was stopped in a convenience store parking lot just south of I-30.
Police say Dennis and the 42-year-old man were involved in an argument at a residence on Galloping Way earlier in the night. When Dennis attempted to leave the residence, the man reportedly climbed onto the vehicle to try to prevent her from driving away. Police say Dennis drove more than a mile with the man clinging to the vehicle's hood.
Dennis was arrested and booked into the Bi-State Jail where she is charged with reckless driving.
