MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) - Marshall, Texas, police have released surveillance video in hopes the public can help them identify who stole a couple chainsaws.

The theft occurred at 7:42 a.m. May 31 at Lowe's in the 900 block of East End Boulevard North. The man fled north on state Highway 43 in a black Nissan Altima with Oklahoma license plate 549FWP.

This was the second theft of chainsaws within 8 days in Marshall. About 4:45 a.m. May 23, someone broke into Marshall All Seasons in the 1500 block of East End Boulevard South and stole four chainsaws. That's about 1.6 miles south of Lowe's.

There's no indication of a connection between the two cases.
