Shreveport man shot twice, gunman at large

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are looking for the gunman who shot a man twice in the Allendale neighborhood Monday night.

Police say it happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Pierre Avenue.

The victim was shot in the head and leg area. He taken to University Health hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to officers on scene, the victim was able to tell first responders he heard several shots being fired from Poland Street.

It is unknown what type of gun was used in the shooting.

No description of the gunman was available, but police did say they believe the gunman got away in a dark colored vehicle.
