Surveillance photos released of gunman in E. Shreveport armed robbery

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are searching for a gunman who robbed an East Shreveport convenience store Friday morning.

Police say it happened just before 3:30 a.m. at the Circle K in the 1000 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway.

According to police, a black male, approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a silver handgun entered the store and demanded money. He then took an unknown amount of cash and ran off.

No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.

According to Shreveport police, "detectives are optimistic that upon the release of surveillance footage from the business, the identities of those responsible for this crime will be revealed."

Shreveport detectives are investigating a similar robbery and may link the 2 crimes.
