Fallen tree causes power outages in Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Almost 4,000 customers were without power Monday morning after a tree fell on a utility pole on Pierremont Road.
The tree caused 4 circuits at the SWEPCO Fern Avenue substation to shut down just after 6 a.m. A SWEPCO spokesman said crews were dispatched and resolve the problem in about an hour. All except 171 customers near the broken unit had their power restored.
According to a SWEPCO spokesperson, a tree crew had to be called to remove the tree.
About 3,770 customers were effected.
