Detectives seek to identify suspected robber

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are asking for the public's help with identifying a man who is believed to be responsible for robbing another man and stealing the victim's vehicle.

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 at the intersection of Fairfield Ave. and East 74th Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, the victim reportedly told them he was assaulted and robbed of his wallet and vehicle after giving the man a ride from a local convenient store.

According to the victim, the man responsible is described as a black male who was wearing a light green shirt and khaki pants. The victim also told police the robber began punching him as he drove down the street. Police say the victim was knocked unconscious by the man and a second person near the intersection of East 74th St. and Fairfield Ave.

Investigators are using surveillance footage from a business which captured one of the alleged robbers while inside the store.

The people responsible may be driving a green Ford pick up truck with unknown tags.
