BATON ROUGE, LA (KSLA) - Attorney General Jeff Landry says the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit has arrested two women for allegedly defrauding Medicaid.
Myyahhnna Dawson, 39, of Houma was arrested on 8 counts of Medicaid fraud for allegedly preparing fake progress notes, saying she and other counselors provided services to Medicaid recipients. Those services were reportedly never performed.
Erica Freeman, 38, of Bossier City was arrested on one count of Medicaid fraud after allegedly presenting false timesheets and service logs for payment to her employer.
Both women surrendered and were booked at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
