Detectives looking for possible link between 4 ATV thefts

SABINE PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Investigators are trying to determine whether there's a connection between the thefts of 4 all-terrain vehicles in 5 weeks in Sabine and Natchitoches parishes.

Two recently were taken from just north of Many in Sabine Parish. The other 2 previously were stolen from just west of the city of Natchitoches in neighboring Natchitoches Parish.

An ATV was taken April 1 from a residence near Posey Road in Natchitoches Parish, the Sabine sheriff's office reports.

The night of April 8 or early April 9, a 2009 Honda Rancher 4-wheeler was stolen from a residence along state Highway 120 in the Belmont area of Sabine Parish.

There was another theft in Natchitoches Parish 2 days later, this time involving a side-by-side utility task vehicle (UTV) taken from a job site near Marthaville.

On May 4, a Can Am X MR 1000 Model 5KDF was stolen from near Louisiana Highway 175 at Louisiana Highway 1216 in Sabine Parish.
