NATCHITOCHES, LA (KSLA) - Police are looking for a Natchitoches man and have another in custody in connection with the armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant.

It happened about 11 p.m. May 1 at Southern Classic Chicken. Officers responding to a report of a robbery in progress saw 2 males flee the restaurant in the 1400 block of Texas Street.

They caught and arrested Deontay Hardy, 26, on a charge of armed robbery and still are looking for Gerald Jimerson II, 25.

Authorities urge anyone with information about Jimerson to call Natchitoches police at (318) 352-8101 or Natchitoches police Detective Victor Pinkney at (318) 357-3817.

"Do not attempt to apprehend or detain this individual by yourself.  Gerald Jimerson II is considered to be armed and dangerous," Natchitoches Police Micky Dove says in a statement about the robbery.

Hardy, whom authorities say has a prior armed robbery conviction, is in Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting bond.
