HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A third tornado in Harrison County has been confirmed from Friday's storms by a National Weather Service survey team working in the field on Monday.
That's in addition to the 2 tornadoes already confirmed by survey teams on Saturday, one southeast of Marshall and another northwest of Waskom. Both of those were rated EF-1 in strength, with winds of up to 95 and 105 mph, respectively.
The third tornado has also been rated EF-1 with maximum winds estimated at 110 mph.
The tornado touched down just west of County Road 4000 about a mile north of Holmes Lake. The twister traveled east-northeast for more than 6 miles before lifting just east of the intersection of County Road 2107 and Buckhorn Road just west of Karnack. Trees were twisted and uprooted all along the path. Two homes sustained damage near Highway 59 at Karma Farms.
