Shreveport firefighters investigate vacant house fire

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Firefighters are investigating after a vacant house caught fire Thursday night in Shreveport's Queensborough neighborhood.

The fire broke out around 10:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of Catherine Street.

Nearly a dozen fire units responded. Firefighters on the scene say the single story house was vacant during the time of the fire. They also say there is medium damage to the back exterior of the house. The damage to the house is estimated at $1,000.

Crews got the fire under control within 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters say the fire is suspicious and the cause is under investigation.
