Suspect caught in Circle K armed robbery

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - One man is facing charges in connection with an armed robbery of a Circle K in north Shreveport.

It happened Monday evening just before 10:00 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Market Street.

Police say a man armed with a handgun took an undisclosed amount of money then fled on foot in an unknown direction. Police released a photo April 12 from the store's surveillance camera video showing a male wearing all dark clothing.

Detectives linked 19-year-old Timothy Singleton of the 1700 block of Pointe Coupee Drive to the crime. Singleton was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon at his home.

Singleton is charged with a single count of Armed Robbery. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
