SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police detectives arrested a homeowner, along with another person, following a home invasion in West Shreveport Tuesday morning.

Just before 9:30 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the 5800 block of West Canal Blvd. on reports of a home invasion.

When officers arrived on the scene, the homeowner, 31-year-old Cedric Williams, reportedly told them he was awakened inside his home by two armed intruders who demanded valuables. Police say the intruders were vaguely described as being men wearing dark clothing.

During their investigation, police suspected criminal activity inside the victim's home and obtained a search warrant for the house.

As a result, investigators reportedly seized a substantial amount of individually packaged Xanax pills, a small quantity of marijuana, along with more than $11,000 in cash.

Williams and 30-year-old Krystal Davis who was inside the house during the ordeal, were arrested and each charged with possession of schedule IV with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

Both Williams and Davis were booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

Shreveport Police Corporal Marcus Hines told KSLA News 12 that police still looking for the 2 intruders. However, police do not suspect that the home invasion was random.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or on their website www.lockemup.org.
