MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) - A Fugitive Friday suspect is behind bars after Marshall police released information about her on social media and local media outlets Friday morning.
Police say 29-year-old Megan Meredith broke into a house and stole items and had an outstanding felony warrant for burglary of a habitation.
After the Fugitive Friday announcement, Marshall/Harrison County Crime Stoppers got an anonymous call at about 10:30 a.m. to let them know Meredith might be in the Uncertain, TX area. Deputies went to the location and Meredith was taken into custody around 11:00 a.m.
Police Chief Jesus "Eddie" Campa states, "I would like to thank the citizens of Marshall and Harrison County for helping to locate Megan Meredith. We need the citizens to be our eyes and ears in the community, and in this case they were."
