Lightning blamed for 3 oil tank battery fires

BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office and South Bossier Fire District 2 firefighters are on the scene of a fire of 3 oilfield tank batteries at an oil well site.
The fire started around 3:45 p.m. due to a lightning strike at an oil well site in the 1900 block of Goat Hill Road off of Hwy. 157, according to the Bossier Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say no injuries have been reported.
