NATCHITOCHES PARISH, LA (KSLA) - A raid by the U.S. Marshals' Sex Offender Task Force led to the arrests of 2 felony suspects in Natchitoches Parish.
Around 9:30 p.m. on March 4, marshals with the task force knocked on the door of a house in the 400 block of Hwy. 3191 in the Oak Grove Community near Natchitoches. They were following a lead that 22-year-old Shelby Fugler was there. Fugler was wanted through Rapides Parish for several violations.
Officers say when they knocked on the door, 27-year-old Sedrick Rogers fled through the back door and threw something down on the porch.
Rogers was detained and investigators later discovered what they suspected to be 2 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe on the porch. He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
After questioning the homeowner, officers were given a location of where Fugler was dropped off. They went to the address and arrested Fugler for failure to appear and felony probation violation. He will be transported to Rapides Parish.
The Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force and Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office Deputies assisted the US Marshals' Sex Offender Task Force in the arrests.
