Bossier Sheriff Deputy recovering after head on crash, all lanes of I-20 open

BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Both westbound lanes of I-20 were closed Sunday morning as Bossier City Police works a crash of an overturned 18-wheeler near mile marker 23 near Industrial Drive.
Bossier Deputies and Louisiana State Police Troopers are assisting with traffic diversion.
A deputy with activated overhead emergency lights was diverting traffic at mile marker 17 of I-220 to prevent motorists heading east-bound on I-220 from exiting onto west-bound I-20.
For reasons still under investigation, another four-door vehicle hit him head-on. The air bags deployed inside the deputy's cruiser.
The deputy was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver who hit him is being evaluated as well.
The deputy has since been released from the hospital.
According to police, all lanes on I-20 are now open, both west-bound and east-bound.
