Man stabbed during Shreveport robbery

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Police are searching for a man accused of stabbing someone at a gas station Tuesday night.

It happened at 11:30 p.m. at the Circle-K at the corner of Line Avenue and Olive Street in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood.

Police say the victim was pumping gas when a man approached him asking for money. When the victim said he didn't have any, the suspect allegedly stabbed him in the leg twice with a knife and stole his pack of cigarettes.

The victim is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

Police and K-9 officers searched the area for the suspect, but found no trace.

The person they are looking for is described as being 6'2" weighing about 160 pounds and being in his mid 30s. He was last seen wearing a black coat with khaki pants.

No arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation.
