Fire damages duplex in Cedar Grove neighborhood

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The Shreveport Fire Department is investigating a fire that damaged a duplex in the Cedar Grove neighborhood of Shreveport.

The fire started at 12:19 p.m. Friday at the vacant two-story duplex in the 200 block of East 66th street.

Firefighters say heavy smoke was visible from the first floor of the house. The fire was contained at 12:32 p.m.

The duplex reportedly had electrical service connected.

Firefighters say the fire moderately damaged the first floor. Heavy smoke damage was reported throughout the duplex.

No injuries were reported.
