SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A reward is now being offered by federal authorities for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted for bank robberies in Shreveport and Bossier City last week and is believed to be on the run with his girlfriend and her 2 young boys.
The hunt for Keith Leonard Rogers, 34, has intensified, as he and 28-year-old Antoinette Wong are believed to be armed and dangerous, and the children have now been missing for 3 days.
Police believe Rogers and Wong, 28, are traveling together with the children, who were taken from their Shreveport homes on Tuesday night.
State police issued a statewide Level II Missing/Endangered Child Media Advisory Wednesday and have put neighboring states on notice for 7-year-old Donnie Simmons and 2-year-old Elijah Wong.
Police say the 2-year-old was taken from a home in the 4500 block of Pro Street about 9 p.m. Tuesday. The 7-year-old was taken at gunpoint about an hour later from a home in the 4000 block of Wallace St.
Elijah Wong is described as a 2-year-old black male child who has black hair styled in dreadlocks and brown eyes. He stands about 2 feet tall and weighs 35 pounds. Elijah Wong last was seen wearing blue, yellow and green pajamas and a blue jacket with lime green stripes.
Donnie Simmons is a 7-year-old black male child who has black hair styled in dreadlocks and brown eyes, police say. He stands about 3 1/2 feet tall and weighs 50 pounds. Donnie Simmons last was seen wearing red Nike shoes, dark blue jeans, a gray jacket and a red and black shirt.
Police have said they believe the children to be in imminent danger, "due to Rogers' rash of criminal behavior and violent criminal history."
Rogers is accused of robbing the Citizens Bank located at 2005 Benton Rd in Bossier City on January 5th, 2016. Bossier City Police have obtained an arrest warrant on Rogers for simple robbery.
Rogers is also accused of robbing the Post Office Employees Credit Union located at 2443 Texas St in Shreveport on January 8, 2016. Shreveport Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Rogers for first degree Robbery.
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading directly to Rogers' arrest.
Wong is wanted for questioning on the two bank robberies in both Shreveport and Bossier.
