Suspect sought in armed robbery of mail carrier

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police investigators are looking for the man who robbed a postal worker Monday afternoon at gunpoint.  
Patrol officers were called just before 3:00 p.m. Monday to the 2000 block of Garden Street in response to a report of robbery of a mail carrier by a man armed with a handgun.

According to information gathered at the scene of the crime, the woman, a United States Postal worker, was approached by a man who demanded money from the her.  
The man is described as a light skinned black male with a goatee;  approximately five feet, four inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.

The armed bandit made off with personal belongings from the postal worker, who was not injured during the ordeal.

Officers, with the assistance of a police K-9, combed the area in search of the suspect, who police say remains at large at this time.
