BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Detectives with the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office are searching for a man who they say fraudulently obtained $400.00.

The man acquired the money from the victim after claiming he was a relative of someone the victim knows. The suspect then reportedly said his vehicle broke down in the parking lot of Walmart in Bossier City.

The victim was asked to loan this man the money with the premise of the cash being repaid the following day. After loaning the man the money, the victim never heard from or saw him again.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect is urged to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 318-424-4100.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
