WASKOM, TX (KSLA) - An autopsy confirms the fatal shooting of a Waskom, Texas, man was a homicide.

Clinton Wayne Saizon, 36, was found dead just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday in his mobile home in the 800 block of North Hearne Street.

Waskom Police Chief Westy Meisenheimer said Sunday that the case is being investigated as a homicide pending results of the autopsy ordered by Justice of the Peace Megan Pinson.

The autopsy conducted at Southwest Forensic Center in Tyler, Texas, also confirms that Saizon died of a single gunshot wound and rules out the possibility that it was self-inflicted.

Waskom police say they now are submitting physical evidence from the scene to state crime laboratories in Tyler and Garland, Texas.

Police have no suspects or persons of interest at this time. But investigators say they are getting a lot of calls from the community and are obtaining subpoenas for phone records.

Authorities urge anyone with information to call Waskom police at (903) 687-2293.
