SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police believe they have a burglary suspect holed up in a drainage tunnel.
At 8:47 a.m., 8 units responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at Cook at Eat Olive Street.
From there, the burglary suspect reportedly led officers on a chase for about three-tenths of a mile then bailed out of a red Dodge Charger at Cornwell Avenue at East Merrick Street.
Officers and K-9 units now are canvassing the area near Cornwell and East College Street because they saw him go into a manhole in that area. They don't believe there is another exit out of the drainage tunnel, so for now they are just waiting.
Once apprehended, he would face a charge of aggravated flight.
Cornwell and East Boulevard Street are blocked off.
