CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Eric Hatfield is currently a Caddo Parish Constable and a former Caddo Parish Deputy Constable.

He is also a former Court Appointed Special Advocate and a member of several other organizations that include: (FOP) Fraternal Order of Police, Louisiana Justice of the Peace & Constables Association, the National Constables Association, and an active member of the Louisiana Sheriff's Association.

Hatfield believes his experience as Constable has allowed him the privilege of working with Caddo Parish deputies for many years. He believes hearing their concerns and recognizing the weaknesses of the current administration has prepared him to take on the role of Sheriff of Caddo Parish

He intends to step up "Community Policing." Hatfield is advocating for more positive interaction deputies and says his goal is to instill a sense of safety within the citizens of Caddo Parish.

He also believes property taxes are as high if not higher than anywhere else in the state of Louisiana and aims to lower them.
