Surveillance images released in attempted armed robbery case

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police have released surveillance images in hopes of identifying the person who they say attempted to rob a business.

The attempted robbery happened around 11:16 a.m. Saturday at the Family Dollar store in the 600 block of West 70th Street.

Police say a masked man armed with a handgun and wearing dark clothes went inside the store and attempted to rob it. But the would-be robber fled the scene empty handed after being alarmed by a store employee.
