Car fire damages Shreveport apartment

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A car caught fire and spread to a vacant apartment in Shreveport's Mooretown neighborhood early Monday morning.

The fire started at F&M Court Apartments in the 3800 block of Doris Street at 2:23 a.m., according to firefighters.

Crews discovered the fire spread to the attic of the vacant single story apartment. Firefighters say they were able to keep the fire contained to the one unit, which was moderately damaged.

The fire was under control at 2:39, according to firefighters.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
