Two suspects arrested in Natchitoches Parish shooting

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Two men have been arrested in Natchitoches Parish for their alleged roles in a shooting that left one man seriously injured.

It happened just after noon Tuesday in the 300 block of Canal Road in Cloutierville, Louisiana.

When deputies arrived, they found 37-year-old Terrance Joseph Coutee Jr. lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.

Coutee was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit.

As a result of their investigation, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Deputies issued warrants for 25-year-old Jermall Richard Pikes aka "Booger" and 21-year-old Joey T. Monette Jr.

Pikes is charged with one count of attempted second degree murder.

Monette is charged with one count of principal to attempted second degree murder.

Both men were booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.

Authorities believe the shooting was sparked by a dispute between the men.

The incident remains under investigation.
