SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Two people are behind bars in connection with a shots fired incident in Shreveport.

It happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Thursday outside of a home in the 600 block of College Street. Shreveport police were dispatched to the home after receiving numerous reports of gunshots being fired in the area.

Police soon learned that there was a fight that led to an exchange of gunfire. Investigators say 29-year-old Jessie Hendricks of Bossier City was at the College Street home when he and 28-year-old Rhiannon Duchesne of Shreveport got into a physical altercation. At some point one or both of them started firing guns outside the home.

Investigators later found a weapon at the home believed to be used in the crime. Duchesne and Hendricks were arrested and both charged with illegal use of a weapon. They were taken to the Shreveport City Jail.

Police say no one was injured, and there were no reports of property damage.
