SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The Shreveport Fire Department trying to determine what caused a house in the Ingleside neighborhood to catch on fire two times in less than a week.

It happened around 9:00 p.m. Monday in the 4000 block of Virginia Avenue.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the single story, wood frame house fully involved in flames.

Authorities say the house is vacant and no utilities are connected.

Just last Thursday, February 5, firefighters responded to the same house on reports of a fire. The cause of that fire has not been determined but authorities say they're investigating both cases as arson.

The house has been deemed a total loss.

The cause of both fires remains under investigation.
