SFD investigating cause of fire at vacant house

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport fire investigators are trying to determine what sparked a fire at a house in the MLK neighborhood.

Firefighters were called to a home just after 8:00 Monday evening in the 2900 block of Peach Street near Knox Street and Hill Street on reports of a fire.

Shreveport Fire Chief Fred Sanders says the house was vacant and no utilities were connected to the structure.

The house reportedly suffered heavy damage.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
