SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police have arrested one person for his alleged involvement in a shooting outside a local liquor store that left one person dead and another injured.

It happened just after 10:30 Sunday evening in the 4900 block of Mansfield Road in the parking lot of The Liquor Store.

When police arrived on the scene, they found 27-year-old Khadeir Jamal Zeidan who was an employee at the store, dead in the parking lot.

Preliminary reports suggest that Zeidan was shot and killed after a verbal argument that started inside the store. Police say Zeidan reportedly pulled a gun as well as the suspect and multiple shots were fired from both men.

Another employee, 32-year-old Saher Zeidan, was also injured during the ordeal and was transported to University Health with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect then reportedly fled the scene in a car.

During the investigation, detectives say they found evidence linking 36-year-old Jertorrez Harris to the crime. Harris was arrested and charged with one count of felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

Police say they also recovered two firearms from Harris' home and believe others not yet located may have been involved as well. Harris' vehicle, which was damaged by gunfire, was also seized.

The incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or on their website www.lockemup.org.
