Police have identified the victim in Friday's shooting as 52-year-old Robert D. Swenson of Fairfield Bay, AR.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A triple shooting has left one man dead and two teenagers injured in Downtown Shreveport early Friday morning.

Police were called out just before 12:40 a.m. to the 200 block of Lake Street between Spring and Market Streets. Officers on the scene tell KSLA News 12 that an argument led to gunfire in the Spring Plaza parking lot.

Detectives say 52-year-old Robert D. Swenson of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and two teenagers were shot. All three were taken to University Health in Shreveport. Swenson later died from his injuries.

Police say a 16-year-old male was shot in the leg and another 16-year-old, found in the Best Western Chateau Suite Hotel parking lot, was shot in the buttocks. Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Detectives believe the two teens were attending a Christmas party at the Holiday Inn in the 100 block of Lake Street when they had an altercation with another group attending the party. The groups were then asked to leave, and someone from one of the groups opened fire.

Police do not believe Swenson had any connection to the teens or the party.

Investigators believe two people were shooting, because they found two different caliber bullet casings at the scene.

Police have not identified any suspects in the case. Anyone with any information about this shooting is urged to contact Shreveport Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or lockemup.org.
