BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - A tobacco truck fire briefly shutdown I-20 westbound lanes in Bossier Parish.
It happened around 8:30 Wednesday evening on Interstate 20 near the Haughton / Fillmore exit.
Bossier Fire District 1 tells KSLA News 12 that an 18-wheeler carrying tobacco caught fire. The fire reportedly started in the truck's engine and spread. Firefighters were able to eventually extinguish the blaze and are now trying to salvage what they can from the fire.
Authorities have reopened one of the west bound lanes and Louisiana State Police say they will be opening the other lane shortly.
No injuries were reported.
