Marshall honors living legend Y.A. Tittle

MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) - The Marshall Mavericks unveiled their new field house in honor of their hall of fame alum, Y.A. Tittle.

 
His age is irrelevant, as now, his name will live forever at Marshall High School. Y.A Tittle Field House officially unveiled. Tittle earned MVP honors of the 1947 Cotton Bowl with LSU. 

Drafted sixth overall in the 1948 NFL Draft, he played 17 NFL seasons. He quarterbacked the New York Giants to three eastern division crowns.

Tittle was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1971.

Surrounded by close friends and family, Tittle was all smiles. The community showed their appreciation for his hard work and prosperous career. 

Today he said he's not the best with names but feels like he's still can go out and perform.
