SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - At least five people have been transported the hospital after a four-car wreck Saturday night in Southeast Shreveport.
It happened about 8:15 p.m. on 70th Street about one-quarter of a mile from the Jimmie Davis Bridge.
Shreveport police said once of those taken to a hospital with critical injuries, but aren't sure if those injuries are life threatening as this time.
The Jimmie Davis bridge coming into Shreveport is shut down and Bert Kouns is shut down at 70th. As of now, police believe one vehicle was making a U-turn on E. 70th Street. We also know that one of the vehicles involved did not have its lights on.
Officials on the scene aren't yet sure how long the wreck will take to clear. SPD is investigating the wreck now, but might hand it off to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office once they determine which jurisdiction the location of the wreck falls into.
KSLA News 12 is on the scene and will update you as we know more.
